  15. <p>     RELEASED. JIM BAKKER, 53, disgraced televangelist; after 4 1/2
  16. years in federal prison; in Jesup, Georgia. The boyish Bible
  17. thumper was convicted in October 1989 on charges of selling
  18. $158 million worth of largely nonexistent time-shares at his
  19. Heritage USA Christian theme park. While in prison he lost both
  20. his empire and his wife Tammy Faye. The former owner of luxury
  21. digs across the country will now reside in a Salvation Army
  22. halfway house in Asheville, North Carolina.
